Leticia Davies (administration)
has experience in both the performance and business
sides of the music industry. She is a singer-songwriter, who
toured for nine years with her band throughout the US, Europe,
and the UK. Leticia also worked at KCMU in Seattle, a listener-supported
alternative radio station that was the first to play early
Green River, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Soundgarden. From 1987-1991
she was a weekday morning DJ presenting an alternative-variety
format program, including interviews with members of local
grunge bands. She organized radio-sponsored events, and co-ordinated
volunteers at the station. Fellow KCMU DJ, Jonathan Poneman,
went on to launch SubPop records and promoted the careers
of many Seattle bands.
Leticia also has years of experience in marketing, business
management, and sales, and has worked as director of operations
at a major Western Massachusetts-based gift design and marketing
company.
